We recently tagged along to see our customer Imperial Diesel Service, LLC rebuild a tugboat engine (Cummins KTA19) on a tight deadline. The tugboat is part of a large project in the Tampa area to build a bridge across the bay. Downtime is expensive for these guys, so we made sure to get Dion (the owner of Imperial Diesel Service, LLC) the Cummins KTA19 Overhaul Kit quickly, and he worked countless hours through the night to get tugboat back on the water and pushing barges full of bridge construction materials.
Dion the owner of Imperial Diesel Service, LLC works on all makes and models of marine diesel engines but specializes in Cummins engines. We took a tour of his shop in Largo Florida where he assembled the Diesel Pro cylinder kits, and often builds custom tools in order to better perform a job and reduce downtime for customers with large marine equipment.
